Description
Wonderful brooch in gilt silver (stamped NORWAY STERLING 925S DAVID-ANDERSEN) with guilloché enamel from around 1910 by David Andersen, Norway.
The brooch in the shape of a large white butterfly is worked in flat cut enamel on finely guilloché patterns. The iridescent enamel of the wings in pearl white makes the fine ornaments of the engravings stand out nobly. The butterfly body is worked in black enamel between gold-plated bars.
The pin closes with a safety ball clasp.
