Arabesque brooch in silver (unstamped, tested) with rhinestone from around 1870.
A flying swallow of finely chiselled silver is set over two smooth, branch-shaped bars. It has a branch with a leaf in its beak, the flower of which consists of three glittering white rhinestones. The pin has a simple hook clasp.
The swallow was considered a sacred bird in ancient times, worshipped for good luck and as a messenger of spring.
