Description

Special disc brooch of historicism in silver (stamped 800 and A) with partial gilding from the 1870s. The hallmark A indicates that it was made in Vienna after 1872.
Over a shining, roundly domed shield lies a finely worked filigree band with Gothic motifs and ornaments in the form of a closed belt. Its large single-thorn clasp is red gilt.
The pin is provided with a simple hook clasp.
The belt is seen as a symbol of strength, loyalty, attachment and friendship.
