Description
Exceptional bangle in hand-forged silver (stamped 835, handmade, Worpswede and maker's mark Helmut Kleist) from the workshop Helmut von Kleist, Worpswede. Dated to the time after 1970.
The massive, broadly tapering hoop is decorated with darkly set off, engraved ornaments. The striking center section is set with a large lapis lazuli bochon that has a very vibrant play of colors in blue with white and gray inclusions. The stone sits on a silver plate and is held in place by four scroll shaped lobes. The entire bangle head is flexibly attached to a loop and is clamped into the hoop via a hook.
