Description

Fancy Biedermeier peasant jewelry from around 1860: handmade cross with pink crystal glass and wax beads.
The large decorative amulet is composed of 14 leaf-shaped elements made of filigree bent silver tombac to form a cross, which are connected from behind with metal struts. It is set, also cross-shaped, with eleven round-cut pink rhinestones as well as four small gray wax beads. The intricate suspension with a large hook eye consists of two more leaf elements adorned with three pink rhinestones and one gray wax bead.

The size of the pendant allows it to be worn on a short chain or velvet ribbon in the neckline as well as on a longer chain or cord over a sweater.
