Charming brooch in the shape of a horseshoe with beaded shamrock from around 1870.
The nine coral buttons applied in the course are simply mounted on pins so that they hide metal setting. A three-leaf clover springs from the center of the horseshoe, set with six small gray seed pearls. The pin has a simple hook clasp.
This is a typical piece of commemorative or memory jewelry from the 19th century historicism.
