Description
This beautiful cameo is a great example of the Idar-Oberstein engraver's art of the 19th century and features the famous Mozart portrait of Barbara Krafft from 1819.
Silver brooch (stamped 835 and maker's mark) with hand engraved onyx from around 1890.
The relief of the bust of Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart is cut into the large oval cameo. It is held by a fine silver frame decorated with a pearl bar border. The smooth, timeless setting was set around the antique stone as a brooch in the 1980s.
The pin is secured with a safety clasp.
