Description
Handcrafted silver brooch with grained lapis lazuli from the Art Nouveau period around 1900.
The elaborately handcrafted silver setting with loops and tendrils of silver wire and chiselled silver bands forms a magnificent rectangular frame for the large lapis lazuli with strong quartzite inclusions in the centre. The eye-catching stone with a beautiful grain of grey and royal blue clouds is elongated, cut in a semicircular shape and held by wide silver ruffs.
The pin is attached to the upper third of the brooch to avoid tilting. It is secured with a simple hook closure.
