Description
Round silver ring (stamped 800 and unknown designer brand in pretzel shape) from the 1960s with opal triplet.
The large round stone is set in a protective bezel setting surrounded by a wide rim in blackened silver with applied silver beads. The ring head is held by round set ring shoulders, also decorated with silver beads.
A opal triplet is composed of three layers of stones: In the middle is a thin layer of precious opal, which lies on a dark plate (onyx), enhancing the color effect of the opal. above the opal is a transparent rock crystal layer, which protects the delicate stone from scratches.
