Typical cufflinks in silver (stamped 835 and brand stamp Fischland) from the studio Fischland, Ribnitz-Damgarten. Decorated with amber cabochons interspersed with sunspots, from the 1950s.
The forest honey colored stones are set in rectangular silver settings closed from the back. They are framed by a symmetrical pattern of the characteristic Fischland fish and starfish. The sturdy bars are held in place with simple, locking toggles.
The motif of the swimming fish goes back to designs by Walter Kramer, the founder of the "Fischland" brand (Georg Kramer company, Ribnitz), from the 1920/30s
