Enchanting memento with forget-me-not blossoms originally from the 19th century.
Handcrafted silver brooch (stamped 800) with glass mosaic from the historicism period around 1870.
The brooch is made up of three squares lined up in a corner. Their discreet silver frames have notched edges and are inlaid with fine glass mosaics depicting forget-me-not flowers in various shades of blue.
In the typical manner of historicism, the edges of the pin are decorated with silver beads in the Etruscan style.
A simple hook serves as a clasp.
Such charming mosaics, also known as " Mille-Fiori", were made in the ancient tradition with tiny glass particles, mostly in Italian workshops. They were popular souvenirs for travellers to Italy until the end of the 19th century.
