Round silver pendant (stamped 800) with sky-blue enamel in sacral motif from around 1900. The workmanship, technique and style allow an attribution to the Victor Mayer manufactory, Pforzheim.
The pendant has the shape of a small, domed box (depth approx. 0.7 cm) in which a small letter, herbs, a lock of hair or the like can be kept. The lid of the box is decorated with a Madonna's head with veil in the technique of flat cut enamel with blue-violet transparent enamel on an embossed background. The delicate motif shimmers ethereally and radiates great tranquillity.
A simple loop forms the mounting.
