Oval silver brooch (stamped 800) with green agate from the Art Nouveau period around 1900.
The front made of silver chased from behind is decorated with a regular lily ornament. The centre is decorated with an oval cabochon of green agate framed by an egg stick pattern.
The back of the pin is verbödet and has a plain hook clasp that has been subsequently attached/restored.
Such decorative brooches were very popular at the turn of the century, worn centrally below the then modern stand-up collars.
