Large oval silver brooch (stamped 800) with mother-of-pearl plate from the Art Nouveau period around 1900.
In the centre of the open worked front is an oval mother-of-pearl plate with fine luster. Around it are lavishly decorated fruit and various fruits. Delicate blossoms and a broad fan pattern form the matching border.
The pin has a simple hook closure.
Such decorative brooches were very popular at the turn of the century worn centrally below the then modern stand-up collars.
