Original 1920s Art Deco pendant from France featuring the patron saint of travelers in gold doublé
The delicate octagonal plaque in yellow gold doublé shows on one side St. Christopher with staff crossing a river with the baby Jesus on his shoulders. The other side shows a 1920s airplane and automobile in a landscape surrounded by the words "Regarde St. Christophe - puis pars rassuré"; (See St. Christopher then travel reassured). The vehicles and delicate Art Deco embellishments indicate that it was designed in the 1920s.
