Rectangular enamel pendant to open in silver (stamped 835 and maker's mark K&L) by Kordes & Lichtenfels, Pforzheim in the shape of a painted book from around 1910.
The front of the rare medallion is fully covered with light blue transparent enamel on a guilloche ground. Inlaid into the enamel is a basket of engraved gold foil. It is decorated with a bouquet of wine-red roses in fine enamel painting. The back of the amulet is decorated with geometric hatching.
When opened it shows two frames for pictures (ca. 1,6 x 1 cm).
