Description
Rare brooch pendant in silver (stamped STERLING SILVER 925 and maker's mark SKIATHITIS) with carnelians from the workshop Skiathitis, Rhodes Greece.
The star-shaped disc of the jewel is harmoniously decorated with applied silver cords and beads. Ten nut-brown carnelian cabochons are set in a circle in deep bezel settings. The centre of the shield is adorned with a larger carnelian cabochon surrounded by cord wire.
This piece of jewellery can be worn as a pendant on a necklace or as a pin. The pin has a clasp with a safety ball clasp.
