Handmade silver ring (stamped 835) with dark amethyst cabochon from the 1960s.
The beautiful dark purple amethyst is cut as a round cabochon. It lies in a smooth bezel setting that sits on a blackened surface. A beaded silver ring surrounds the dark surface and shows it off to its best advantage.
The sturdy ring head is worked directly onto the solid ring band, which sits pleasantly smooth on the finger.
