Handmade silver brooch with large sodalite from the art nouveau period around 1900.
The elaborately handcrafted silver setting with loops and tendrils of silver wire and chiselled silver bands forms a magnificent rectangular frame for the large sodalite in the middle. The eye-catching stone with a beautiful grain of grey and royal blue clouds is elongated, semi-circular cut and held by broad silver claws.
The pin is attached to the upper third of the brooch to avoid tilting. It is secured with a simple hook closure.
