Description

Historism locket to open in red gold double with engraved onyx and freemason symbol from around 1880.
The smooth metal frame is inset with a square diamond shaped cameo in onyx depicting a knight's head with a luxuriant headdress. The reverse is decorated with a smooth onyx plate.
The pendant has obvious Masonic symbolism: The capsule of the locket is placed between the open legs of an ornate compass, the joint of which serves to hold the chain eyelet.
The amulet can be opened, there two pictures (1,6 x 1,6 cm) can be inserted. The original frames are still present.
