Lovingly crafted silver brooch (unstamped, tested) with corals and oriental pearls from around 1870.
The typical brooch from the Historicist period has the shape of a rowan branch. This is set with six berries of orange-red coral beads which are pierced and held by a silver pin. The feathery leaves of the plant are decoratively adorned with 42 seed beads.
The brooch has a simple hook clasp.
