Description
Filigree disc brooch in silver (stamped 830 DAVID ANDERSEN CHRISTIANA 1886) with partial gilding from the year 1886 by David Andersen, Oslo/Norway.
The round brooch in the shape of a Nordic shield is worked out in finest filigree work of partly gilded silver cords and applied beads. The symmetrical pattern curves convexly outwards and is effectively underlaid with a shiny, gold-plated plate. A flower-shaped ornament is emblazoned in the centre.
The pin is fitted with a simple hook clasp.
