Description

Graphic art nouveau pendant from around 1900 in gold doublé with genuine opal and ruby coloured glass stone.
The small pendant is designed in the clear geometric style of the Darmstadt School.
The triangular basic shape is set in the centre by a white opal with a beautiful red-orange shine in the shape of a teardrop. It sits on a narrow bar that stretches over a recessed area.
The upper edge of the pendant is adorned by an openwork frieze with a filigree pattern, into which a red glass stone is set.
Around the turn of the century, jewellery made of gold doubles, sometimes with real stones, was often produced in jewellery factories for "everyone".
