Oval silver brooch (unstamped, tested) with blue sodalite from the Art Nouveau period around 1900.
In the centre of the oval brooch sits a large, jean-blue sodalite with a beautiful grain in a bezel setting with a beaded rim. The stone is framed by a silver floral wreath of leaves and flowers (forget-me-nots?).
The pin has a simple hook clasp.
Such decorative brooches were very popular around the turn of the century, worn in the centre below the then modern stand-up collars.
